The Chairman and Pro-Chancellor, Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila – Orangun, FUHSI, Prof. Wale Sulaiman, CON, has commended the resilience, industriousness, and commitment of Nigerian workers.
In a statement issued on the occasion of this year’s Workers’ Day, Prof. Wale Sulaiman extended his felicitations to all Nigerian workers, regardless of their profession or sector.
“Today, we celebrate and appreciate the invaluable contributions of our workforce to the nation’s economic growth and development”.
The renowned world neurosurgeon praised the nation’s workforce remarkable resilience, industriousness, and commitment to duties in both formal and informal sectors despite the global economic challenges, including inflation and stock exchange volatility.
The President RNZ Foundation said “despite the global economic challenges, including inflation and stock exchange volatility, Nigerian workers have demonstrated remarkable resilience, industriousness, and commitment to their duties. From the informal sector, comprising roadside mechanics and street hawkers, to the formal sector, encompassing public and private sector workers, every category of our workforce has played a vital role in driving our economy forward.”
“The labour force of a nation is indeed the backbone of its economic survival and political stability. Nigeria’s labour force has consistently proven to be the fortress protecting the country’s economy from meltdown, despite policy and governance challenges. Their dedication, perseverance, and hard work have been instrumental in sustaining our economy and promoting national development”, it stated.
“As we celebrate the Nigerian workforce on this Workers’ Day, we recognize the crucial role they play in shaping our nation’s future.
Nigeria remains our greatest asset, and its survival is our onerous responsibility. Let us all continue to work diligently, protect the legal and strategic interests of our respective organizations, and strive for excellence in our endeavors.” He said.
