President Tinubu arrives Anambra, on official visit

President Bola Tinubu has arrived at the Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri, Anambra State, for an official visit to the state.

On the President’s entourage was the National Security Adviser, Alhaji Nuhu Ribadu, among others.

The Nigerian leader arrived on board the Nigerian Air Force Airbus at about 12:17 pm, wearing the Akwete Igbo fabric with a red cap to match, and headed straight to the podium where the national anthem was sung.

Present to receive the President at the airport were the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo; his Deputy, Onyekachukwu Ibezim; members of the House of Assembly; top dignitaries from the state, among others.

Meanwhile, a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, says the President will commission some infrastructural projects executed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s Administration.

It explains that the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy, located within Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, is among the projects slated for commissioning by the president.

He will also commission the Solution Fun City, which houses the Anambra Country Club, a Family Fun House, a Water Park, and an Amusement Park.

President Tinubu will commission the Government House Mini City and Anambra Tower of Light and unveil the Monument of the Statues of Five Anambra Heroes.

The Governor will host a grand reception in honour of the President to round off the visit, after which he returns to Abuja later today.
