Security Challenge Bedeviling the Country Will End: Defense Minister

The Minister of Defence, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, says the security challenge bedeviling the country would gradually and slowly come to an end.

The Minister who stated this to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi shortly after a security meeting with kebbi state Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris and top security officers, said the government had acknowledged the improvement of security situation across the country.

He announced that President Bola Tinubu has appreciated the Nigeria troops for their effort in the fight against insurgency and in particular Kebbi State which they did well with the threat of Lakurawa Terrorists.

The Minister revealed that President Tinuba asked him to encourage troops fighting insurgency to do more so that they can block and finish the Lakurawa’s development in the country.

While commending the Nasir Idris led administration in its effort of tackling the security situation in Kebbi State, said if there is this kind of relationship between the federal government and the states, together they will fight the evil and end it.

Badaru disclosed that, his team of experts and some from the office of the security Adviser so that they look at the holistic situation in Kebbi and see how best can be handled.

The Minister also inspected a quarter guard at Dukku Barracks  Birnin Kebbi, exchange pleasantries with Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association and also held a meeting with personal.
