Eminent Islamic clerics have gathered at the inner palace of the Emir of Ilorin to offer special prayer for the stability of the country.
The clerics also beseeched the Almighty Allah to grant President Bola Tinubu and Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq successful tenure.
The prayer was at the instance of the Emir of Ilorin and chairman, Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari.
In his opening remark, the Emir of Ilorin,Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari said the prayer was held to beseech Allah to restore peace to all the troubled parts of the country and crown the efforts of President Tinubu and Governor AbdulRazaq at making the nation and Kwara better places for all to live.
The prayer session was led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Soliu, who was supported by the Imam Imale of Ilorin,Sheikh AbdulHamid Abdullahi, and the Imam Gambari, amongst others.
Speaking on the occasion, Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, represented by his Special Adviser and Counselor , Alhaji Saadu Salahu stated that the special prayer was organised for the resounding success of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State.
