The remains of the final year student of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin , Hafsoh Lawal who was allegedly murdered by her social media boyfriend, AbdulRahman Bello, have been laid to rest.
It was gathered that the remains of Hafsoh were interred at a cemetery in the Sango area of Ilorin, the state capital.
The burial of the deceased took place following the release of her dismembered parts to her family by a Kwara State High Court, sitting in Ilorin.
The late Hafsoh’s father, Mr. Ibrahim Lawal Adefalu confirmed the burial of her daughter.
The family of Hafsoh Lawal, had on Monday requested the state High Court to release the dismembered body of the deceased to them for proper burial according to Islamic rites.
The Kwara State Attorney General and commissioner for Justice, Barrister Senior Ibrahim , who is leading the prosecution team in the murder case made the request during the continuation of hearing on the matter on Monday.
The defence counsel, Mr. Chukwudi Maduka, who represents the first prime suspect, AbdulRahman Bello, did not object to the request, saying that he sympathized with the family despite the ongoing prosecution.
