The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has announced that the crescent moon of Dhul Hijjah has been sighted, officially marking the beginning of the Islamic month in which the annual Hajj pilgrimage takes place.
According to the announcement, Hajj 1446 AH will begin on June 4, with pilgrims gathering in Mina. The Day of Arafah will be observed on June 5 Eid Al-Adha will fall on June 6 for Muslims across the Kingdom and the world.
The court had earlier urged citizens and residents to observe the sky on Tuesday evening (Dhu al-Qi’dah 29) and report any sightings.
