Gov. Dauda Lawal Approves Sallah Bonus for Zamfara Workers and Pensioners

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has approved the payment of a Sallah (Eid-el-Kabir) bonus to all civil servants and pensioners across the state In a show of compassion and commitment to workers’ welfare,

The State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Mahmud Muhammad Dantawasa made this known in a statement and issued to newsmen in Gusau.

According to the statement, the Governor’s gesture is aimed at easing the financial burden on citizens during the Eid celebrations and enabling them to partake in the festivities with joy and dignity.

The Governor, who is currently on pilgrimage in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, extended his warmest Eid greetings to the people of Zamfara.

In his message, he called on residents to use the occasion for reflection, prayer, and unity, while emphasizing the values of compassion and sacrifice which the Eid-el-Kabir season represents.

“I am deeply grateful to Almighty Allah for granting us the opportunity to witness yet another Eid,” Governor Lawal said. “As we celebrate, I urge us all to reflect on the essence of this season unity, sacrifice, and compassion. Let us pray for our beloved Zamfara State and our nation, Nigeria.”

He further appealed to the citizens to celebrate responsibly and uphold law and order throughout the Sallah period, noting that peace and security remain the foundation for meaningful development.

Governor Lawal’s administration has continued to prioritize the welfare of public servants and retirees, and the approval of the Sallah bonus is seen as another indication of his people-first leadership approach.

The Ministry of Information and Culture also joined the Governor in wishing the Muslim Ummah and the entire people of Zamfara State a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration.
