The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed the resignation of its National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, with immediate effect,
In a statement issued on by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party revealed that Ganduje tendered his resignation through a letter addressed to the National Working Committee (NWC) via the National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru.
The former Kano State governor stated that his resignation was necessary to enable him attend to urgent and important personal matters.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has since directed the Deputy National Chairman (North), Alh Ali Bukar Dalori, to take over in acting capacity, pending the convening of the National Executive Committee (NEC) to formally elect a new chairman.
The NWC expressed appreciation for Ganduje’s invaluable contributions and distinguished record of service and wished him continued success in his future endeavors.
