Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, Osun State, Prof. Wale Sulaiman, CON has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of His Royal Highness, Oba Muhammed Jamiu Omikunle II, the Oludofian of Idofian Land, describing the late monarch as an energetic and visionary traditional ruler whose reign, though brief, left a lasting mark on his community.
In a condolence message released on Friday, Prof. Sulaiman noted that Oba Omikunle II was a monarch of purpose, clarity, and compassion, whose commitment to the transformation of Idofian and the upliftment of his people was both inspiring and commendable.
The President RNZ Foundation stated that the death of Oba Muhammed Jamiu Omikunle was a painful loss, not only to the royal household and the people of Idofian, but also to all who value progressive and community-focused traditional leadership.
He said though his reign was short-lived, his impact was significant, and his legacy will not be forgotten.
Prof. Sulaiman emphasized that the true essence of life is not how long we live, but the positive difference we make, noting that the late monarch lived a life of value, humility, and service as echoed by his people.
He extended heartfelt condolences to the Oludofian-in-Council, the royal family, the entire Idofian community, and the people of Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, urging them to find strength in the legacy of peace and progress that the monarch represented.
Prof. Sulaiman prayed that may Almighty Allah, forgive his shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and comfort those left behind.
