Professor Wale Sulaiman, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has congratulated Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda on his official appointment as the National Chairman of the APC.
In a statement released on Thursday, Prof. Wale Sulaiman, CON who is also the Pro-chancellor and Chairman Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun, Osun State commended the leadership of the party for its wise and forward-thinking decision to entrust the mantle of the party national leadership to a distinguished academic, professional, and technocrat, who has consistently demonstrated capacity and integrity in both public and academic service.
“The emergence of Professor Nentawe as the National Chairman of our great party is a reflection of the APC’s commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and merit.
“His wealth of experience as an academic, engineer, former electoral commissioner, and Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, makes him uniquely qualified to lead our party into a new era of unity and electoral consolidation” Prof. Sulaiman said.
He further described the Plateau-born politician as “a symbol of progressive values”, recalling his role as APC’s gubernatorial flagbearer in the 2023 Plateau State elections, and his earlier service as Resident Electoral Commissioner in Benue State (2017–2021). Prof. Nentawe also previously served as ICT Director at the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi for over a decade, underscoring his strong academic and technological grounding.
“His appointment comes at a time when our party must remain united and prepare strategically for future electoral victories. I am confident that under his leadership, the APC will emerge stronger, more focused, and more connected to the aspirations of Nigerians,” Prof. Sulaiman said.
Prof. Wale Sulaiman congratulated Professor Nentawe and pledged his continued support for the national leadership in achieving its vision of national development, inclusion, and good governance.
