Oke-Ode Community Mourns Bandit Attack, Demands Stronger Security

The Oke-Ode Community Development Association has condemned Sunday’s bandit attack on the town, where about fifteen vigilantes and a village head were killed, while five others abducted.

National President of the Association, Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Ajala-Bello, in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kunle Akogun, described the attack as dastardly and called for urgent security intervention.

He commiserated with the families of the victims, and prayed for the safe return of the abducted.

Alhaji Ajala Bello urged the residents to remain calm, vigilant and promptly report any suspicious movement to security agents.

The Association appealed to both Kwara State and Federal Governments to take more proactive steps and called on security agencies to intensify collaboration to end banditry in the axis.
