The Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Captain Chris Najomo, has summoned Air Peace over persistent flight delays and cancellations.
Speaking at a meeting with the airline’s management in Abuja, Captain Najomo directed Air Peace to scale down its operations to match the number of serviceable aircraft in its fleet.
He described the situation as unacceptable, stressing that the NCAA will intensify monitoring of all domestic airlines to ensure compliance with regulations and global best practices.
Responding, Air Peace officials admitted to operational challenges but assured that efforts are ongoing to resolve the issues.
Captain Najomo emphasized that while the NCAA remains supportive of airline growth, adherence to safety and service standards is non-negotiable.
