The Academic Staff Union of Universities has elected Professor Christopher Goson Piwuna of the University of Jos (UNIJOS) as the new president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
The election was held at the just concluded 23rd National Delegates Congress held at University of Benin, Edo state.
Piwuna , also the Dean Students Affairs at the University of Jos, Plateau state defeated Professor Adamu Babayo of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi to succeed Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, who has been overseeing the affairs of the association since 2021.
