Submit Letter of Intent, Meets Party’s State Chairman and Ward Executives

Hon. AbdulFatai Soliu Magaji – a Former Students’ Union Leader and foremost aspirant for the Ilorin West & Asa Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2027 General Election has declared his intention to represent the good people of Ilorin West and Asa Federal Constituency at the National Assembly comes 2027.

Hon. AbdulFatai Soliu Magaji who met the Kwara State APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi on Thursday 23rd April, and submitted his Letter of Intent at the party’s Secretariat in Ilorin, had earlier held a meeting with the Oko Erin Ward Executives, Wednesday evening.

Prince Sunday Fagbemi warmly received the team and commended active participation of youth in politics which he said would not only make democracy more vibrant but create inclusivity in governance.

Earlier during the meeting with the ward executives, Hon. AbdulFatai Magaji, the 7th President, Emirate Students’ Union of Al-Hikmah University, emphasized his commitment to serve the people of Ilorin West and Asa and advocate for policies that prioritize youth and women empowerment, infrastructural development and education, pledging to consolidate on the progressive strides of the party and praised the visionary leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq which is repositioning the State for sustainable development and strengthening the APC.

The gathering was a robust step in strengthening the aspirant’s political connections and unveil his vision as a legislative Member, when elected, as House of Representatives seat requires a lawmaker who will not only represent the people but also ensure that their agitations, and concerns are translated into meaningful legislative actions and developmental initiatives.

“My focus remains clear and people centred. I am committed to deepening grassroots participation, empowering youths and women, attracting meaningful development projects, ensuring that the voices of our constituents
are strongly and effectively represented at the National Assembly.

“As a loyal party member who understands that political success begins from the grassroots, I humbly seek the support, guidance, and endorsement of our ward leadership and members as I embark on this journey”, Hon. Magaji said.

The North Central Youth Development Forum and Ilorin Emirate Students’ Union had earlier endorsed Hon. AbdulFatai Soliu Magaji for the Ilorin West and Asa Rep seat.

The endorsement as announced by the National President of IESU, Sheikh Abdulrahman Zulukarnain Al-Opolowy, described Magaji as a dependable and forward-looking leader with a track record of supporting students and youth development within the Ilorin Emirate.

The IESU president said Magaji has consistently demonstrated commitment to the growth of the union and has remained actively engaged with its activities at the national level.

“Hon. Abdulfatai Soliu Magaji has shown unwavering commitment to the struggle and welfare of students,” the IESU president said.

Also, the Mogaji of Gaa – Odota Community, Alhaji Okanlawon Lambe who endorsed Hon. AbdulFatai Magaji, as Chairman Gaa Odota Youth Development Association and his Rep ambition, described the current Acting Community Chairman, Magaji Zone A, as lover of community and grassroots politician who has contributed to the growth of Gaa – Odota.

He was accompanied by Alh. Abdulazeez CEO AZ Gold, Founder Big Bro Foundation Hon. Usman Taiwo Hassan, Founder Aro Foundation Alh. Aro Usman, and CEO Bature Gadget Communication, Hon. Salaudeen Bature among others.
